FUE, or follicular unit extraction,
is one of the easiest methods of hair transplantation (for the donor)
available. FUE is a relatively recent, modern method of hair transplantation
that can provide an option beyond more invasive surgical methods of hair transplantation.
FUE works by extracting individual follicles, "combing" the hair of them in a way that provides nearly seamless transplantation of donor hair. This low-level extraction means that FUE does not create incisions or require a scalpel, unlike the similar method known as strip harvesting.
